Another LCI wrestler, Emily Selk, earned a third-place finish among female 70 kilogram competitors.
LCI finished first in the 4A team standings with 56 total points.
Christien Lowry, Thomas Ellis-Toddington and Solomon Prenevost each earned 10 points for the team, while Omni Lowry chipped in with seven. Amelia Prenevost contributed six points to the cause and Payton Shields and Emmy Selk added five points each. Grady Steed helped the team earn two points and Jack Huggins chipped in with a point to round out the total.
“Every wrestler contributed to our team points, as the top six in each division give points to the overall team placing,” said wrestling coach Riley Ellis-Toddington. “The boys were the top team total of any division at the event.”
Chinook’s Reese Ferguson took gold in the female 53 kilogram category. She was the lone participant for Chinook, as the school earned nine total points in the 4A team standings.
