The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act strikes a balance between the public's right to know and the individual's right to privacy, as these rights relate to information held by Lethbridge School Division.
The Act ensures individuals have the right to access their own personal information. It also provides for access to other records held by the School Division, and includes strict standards that the School Division must follow for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) is also administered in Finance.
Please see the FOIP section(s) for additional information.
The Purchasing Department provides a centralized purchasing service for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment and services required by the Division’s schools, outreach programs and all administrative departments.
Purchasing manages the Division’s procurement cycle by assisting end users in determining specific requirements, selecting sources of supply, negotiating prices, terms and conditions of sale, conducting competitive bid processes, issuing purchase orders and providing follow up to ensure timely delivery.
