Communications officer for Lethbridge School Division. I am a former newspaper journalist and editor, who has a love for sports. I coach baseball and football, and have a rooting interest in the Broncos, Roughriders, Flyers, A's and Spurs. I have a wife and three children, along with two very energetic labradoodles. 

My role:

I am responsible for updating the Division website and promoting all of the positive events which take place inside our schools every day. Getting out and visiting all of our great schools in the Division is a priority, as it allows me the opportunity to write stories, take photos and produce videos.

I am the Director of Human Resources for Lethbridge School Division and I am proud to have say I have been part of the Lethbridge School Division Family for almost 20 years. I am passionate about working in the field of Human Resources and want to support employees. 

I was lucky to call Lethbridge home and am proud to say I attended Galbraith, Wilson and Winston Churchill. I have a Master in Human Resource Management from the University of Regina, a Bachelor of Management (Major Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour) from the University of Lethbridge and I am a Certified Professional Human Resource (CPHR).

I have a loving husband and two children that always support me and keep me grounded. We also have two adorable pups that keeps life full of fun! I love to camp, hike, boat and see family and friends as much as possible. I truly love all seasons and find they all have their advantages - minus the wind of course!

I have worked as Human Resources Generalist for the past 25 years, therefore have touched all areas within Human Resources. I am responsible for over 600 staff within our busy School Division. I work with Administration at all levels within Human Resources. I believe in maintaining effective working relationships with our unions. Some of my key responsibilities include recruitment and staffing, employee relations and negotiations. 

We have an amazing HR team that want to support and help all current and future staff!

I have been with Lethbridge School Division for over 20 years.  I started my career as the Director of Finance and after 18 years was excited to begin my new role as Associate Superintendent Business Affairs for the 2017-2018 school year.

I am a proud product of Lethbridge School Division1 having attended Lakeview Elementary, Gilbert Paterson, and Lethbridge Collegiate Institute.  Graduate of the University of Lethbridge, Bachelor of Management.  I hold a Chartered Professional Accountant/Chartered Accountant designation (CPA/CA), Fellow of the Certified School Business Official( FCSBO) and Certified Administrator in School Finance and Operations (SFO) credentials.

The Division of Business and Operations department provides a variety of support services to the District.  I have a great team of people in the Finance, Technology, Transportation and Plant Operations and Facility Services departments that support teaching and learning in our schools.  As we say "Kids Are Our Business".

I am blessed with a wonderful husband, a beautiful daughter, a son in law, and an adorable Sheltie named Tango. I Love to travel, hike, cycle, golf (rather badly), kayak and get away to have fun in the sun in winter. Although I am a Lethbridgeite  I do not enjoy the wind!

I am privileged to have the role of Director of Finance / FOIP Coordinator at Lethbridge School Division.  I have always strived to take complicated financial matters and present them in a manner that is easy for everyone to understand. 

Prior to my current role, I was employed for the last ten years at BDO Canada LLP in Lethbridge.  I started as a Junior Accountant and worked my way up to Audit and Assurance Manager where I worked with a variety of clients (including not-for-profits, school divisions and municipalities).  I hold a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and have received my Bachelor of Management (specializing in accounting) from the University of Lethbridge. 

Lethbridge School Division has a history of being a leader in financial and budgetary reporting. I look forward to being part of a great team to support teaching and learning within the school division.

I enjoy reading and learning, beading earrings (as a part of my Mi'kmaq heritage), being active and being in nature. I support children's speech and language skills who are receiving mild-moderate funding and Program Unit Funding in Early Education Programs at Dr. Gerald Probe and Fleetwood-Bawden elementary schools. I also support Kindergarten and school-aged students' speech and language skills at Dr. Gerald Probe, Fleetwood-Bawden, Gilbert Patterson and LCI, using the Response to Intervention model. As a part of the SLP team, we provide Hanen Learning Language & Loving It and ABC & Beyond training programs to our early elementary school staff when needed.

My name is Cason Machacek, and I am honored to serve as the Digital Wellness Teacher for Lethbridge School Division. With several years of experience in education, I have gained valuable experiences, built connections with students and families, and learned through collaboration with colleagues on effective teaching pedagogies. 

Within this new portfolio, I am excited to collaborate with educators across the division to promote digital wellness in alignment with Alberta Education's Health and Wellness key student indicators for success. My goal is to empower students, educators, and parents with the tools necessary to approach the constantly evolving technological landscape through a safe, responsible, proactive, and preventative lens.

Hi, my name is DeeAnna Presley-Roberts. I am the Making Connections Coordinator. I oversee the entire Making Connections program which is present in 12 elementary schools and 2 middle schools across Lethbridge School District. Making Connection workers work out of our schools to connect students and families to schools and supportive services within our community. Making Connections is best known for the work that we do with families and children within the community but we also provide mental health education and promotion within the schools. As the Director of Technology Learning and Innovation I am responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions within the district. This includes overseeing all IT operations that help meet educational requirements as well as support and maintenance of existing applications.
