Lindsey Hagen appointed vice-principal at Park Meadows Elementary School

Lethbridge School Division is pleased to announce Lindsey Hagen has been appointed vice-principal at Park Meadows Elementary School, commencing the 2023/2024 school year.
Possessing quiet strength with relationship building and networking to support students, Hagen has an unwavering commitment to supporting the learning journey of students and families. Hagen comes with a strong background in instructional leadership across a variety of contexts.
Possessing a deep and holistic understanding of learning, she has a passion for providing students with authentic experiences, choice, and opportunities for leadership. Hagen believes in relevance, rigor and the exploration that Thinking Classrooms and project-based learning affords students. She has supported professional learning of teachers in Leveled Literacy Intervention and Writer’s Workshop.
Possessing a strong background in literacy, Hagen has a passion for building foundational skills to frame the confidence necessary for navigating success. She is a strong believer in collaboration and generative thinking as a staff.
“I am very excited to be joining the learning community at Park Meadows in September,” said Hagen. “The early years of school are so foundational and formative, for both students as well as their families, and it is an honour to learn alongside and be part of that journey. As a lover of all things literacy, with a passion for learning, I am eager to work and grow with the staff, students and families.”
Hagen has been an educator in different contexts and has leadership experience in other school divisions, including a role as principal in Hays, a K-9 school, and vice-principal at R.I. Baker Middle School.
Hagen joined Lethbridge School Division in the role of vice-principal at Gilbert Paterson Middle School.  She obtained her Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and her Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.
