Division bands participate in Lethbridge and District Music and Speech Arts Festival

Lethbridge School Division bands and choirs successfully participated in the Lethbridge and District Music and Speech Arts Festival, to mark the end of a very busy music festival season.
Hundreds of students from across the city were involved in this exciting celebration of music making, showcasing their talents and dedication to the art.
In addition to the local festival, many bands and choirs in the Division also represented Lethbridge province-wide at the Alberta International Band Festival in Edmonton, as well as at Choralfest in Calgary. The hard work and dedication from students paid off, as they received positive feedback and recognition for their exceptional performances.
As the school year progresses into April and May, the Division’s bands will continue to participate in various music festivals. Some of the upcoming events include the Alberta Band Association Festival of Bands in Red Deer, the Anaheim Heritage Festival in Anaheim, California and the Lethbridge Middle School Band Festival hosted at the University of Lethbridge, among others. These festivals provide an opportunity for students to gain valuable experience and compete with their peers, while showcasing their skills and hard work.
Division students were also selected to participate in prestigious events, including the Alberta Junior Honour Band in Red Deer at the beginning of March, and the National Junior Honour Band in Virtually, through Ottawa this April. These events offer a unique opportunity for talented students to showcase their skills and gain exposure at a national level.
