Australian high schoolers head to Churchill as part of basketball tour
High school basketball players from Northside Christian College in Queensland, Australia are in Lethbridge this week, practising, going to school with and participating in basketball camps with players from Winston Churchill High School.
The Australian players arrived Wednesday to train with WCHS and also enjoy some get-to-know-you activities including archery and art.
Thursday, the Australian students paired up with WCHS students and toured two classes in the morning.
On Friday, the Northside and WCHS players visited three northside elementary schools to host basketball clinics for students.
Tomorrow, the Northside boys and girls teams will play exhibition games at Churchill at noon and 2 p.m.
