Lethbridge School Division 2021/2022 Re-Entry Plan updated

Last Thursday, Lethbridge School Division delivered correspondence regarding the REP and vaccination procedures. Since that time, Divisions across the province have received updated guidance from the Government of Alberta. As a result, the Division has updated the 2021/2022 Re-Entry Plan with new information.
On Page 5 of the plan, you will notice a summary of the changes contained in the Feb. 14 version of the plan.
Some of the major changes within the plan include:
- Updates to the Management of Individuals who are Symptomatic/Asymptomatic and/or Tested for COVID-19 charts
- Updates to the Responding to Illness chart
- Updates to the mask protocol to reflect provincial guidance which indicates masking is no longer required for students in K-12 during curriculum related activities or when participating in extracurricular school activities.
- Changes to information regarding audience members and spectators for co-curricular and extra-curricular events. This includes removal of the REP program and restrictions on number of spectators in facilities. Wearing of masks is required for individuals aged 13 and older at all extra-curricular and co-curricular events. This will be reviewed by the province on March 1st.
- A change to the COVID-19 Vaccine Status Procedures area, whereby Procedure 700.3.4 was removed. Effective immediately, non-staff members will not be required to show proof of vaccination or proof of negative tests to enter school buildings during the school day, including volunteers, contractors, visitors, practicum students, and tenants.
