Jamie Bach appointed vice-principal for Winston Churchill High School

Lethbridge School District No. 51 is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Bach as vice-principal at Winston Churchill High School, commencing the 2019/2020 school year.

Student-centred and focused on relationships, Bach is a great fit for the Churchill family. He has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the students and staff he works with and the willingness to assume the responsibilities of leadership whenever he can contribute to the school he is in. Possessing a growth mindset, he believes that regardless of successes or failures, there is something to be learned from experiences. According to Bach, perseverance and reflection are key to continuous improvement. He models his belief in teamwork and has demonstrated collaborative endeavours maximize the potential of everyone engaged in a pursuit.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to work with the amazing staff, students and families at Winston Churchill and reunite with the northside community,” he said. “I have been lucky to have a number of great experiences in Lethbridge School District No. 51, learning and growing with amazing students and colleagues at Wilson Middle School and Chinook High School. I am honoured to join a dynamic and passionate leadership team and look forward to becoming part of the Churchill family!”

Bach’s experience as an educator and leader at the secondary level will contribute to the leadership team at Churchill. He has taught at the middle and high school level, assumed the role of teacher-counsellor, District Wellness Coach, acting vice-principal for a period of time at Chinook High School and is currently the Athletic Director at Chinook. He has contributed extensively to the development of youth as a community coach in a variety of sports.

Bach completed a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at the University of Lethbridge. He earned his Masters of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Lethbridge.
