General Stewart teacher recognized by local radio station
Andrea Andreachuk has a way of making the Christmas season just a little extra special for those at General Stewart Elementary School.
Her Kindergarten classroom is adorned with decorations to celebrate the season, but on Tuesday morning, it was Andreachuk's turn to be celebrated.
B-93.3 morning host Harley Myhovich stopped by the school to present Andreachuk with a $100 gift certificate for Charm Diamond Centres as part of the Charm Your Teacher contest.
"We asked people from all around Lethbridge and surrounding areas to nominate a teacher for doing something lovely," said Myhovich.
With that in mind, General Stewart Grade 3 teacher Lisa Jensen had the perfect nominee in mind.
"The care she puts into her students is amazing," said Jensen, as to why she nominated Andreachuk. "I've never worked with a more caring teacher in my entire career. She's caring, loving and compassionate to every person she meets. She would give you the shirt off her back - she's just that kind of person."
