Division data not compromised in cybersecurity event

On Jan. 7, 2025, Lethbridge School Division notified by our student information system (SIS) provider, PowerSchool, about a cybersecurity event that occurred in late December.
This event impacted user data across Canada and the United States. The Division has received confirmation from PowerSchool that Lethbridge School Division's data was not compromised, and this event did not impact any data or information relating to the Division.
PowerSchool has provided detailed information about the incident, which has allowed the Division to conduct an internal review to confirm the accuracy of their assurances. Additionally, Lethbridge School Division has taken proactive steps to verify none of our data was compromised.
