Parent engagement opportunity set for Monday, Dec. 6

A Parent engagement opportunity is being delivered prior to the next Division School Council meeting.
The special session, Helping Your Child with Literacy, will be hosted by Bev Smith, Lethbridge School Division's Literacy Lead Teacher.
All parents are invited to join a session via Teams, which will focus on supporting literacy development in the home.
From 6–6:15 p.m., Smith's topic will be Helping your Child Become Literate (geared toward Kindergarten to Grade 2).
The 6:15–6:30 p.m. topic will be Reading with Older Children at Home (designed for Grade 3 to Grade 6).
Smith will deliver these two short presentations to parents to share ideas for reading and writing with your child at home.
These strategies are grounded in research and best practice and will help support literacy development at home.
