Town Hall 2024 held Tuesday, Feb. 6

Lethbridge School Division hosted the annual Town Hall event on Tuesday Feb. 6.
Town Hall will be an in-person event at Victoria Park High School. Participants included Division students, parents/caregivers/guardians, staff members or community members. 
Everyone was welcome at Town Hall, and incredible discussions were held around the table!
The purpose of Town Hall is to seek feedback to assist the Board of Trustees and the Division in planning for the future. 
Following the in-person Town Hall event, an online feedback survey was distributed. Please check the Division website, and the Community Engagement website, in early March for a breakdown of the results of the online data. 
Below, you will find the list of topics that guided discussions on Feb. 6.
For the first session, participants were split up into elementary, middle school and high school tables, in order to provide feedback specific to those levels.
For the second session, participants were split up to discuss specific topics. 

General Topics

Elementary

Middle School

  • What are the successes of the Middle School experience in Lethbridge School Division?

Learning and the Future of Education

  • What are the negative aspects of using technology in schools?
  • What suggestions do you have related to technology in schools?

Governance

  • What feedback do you have for the Board of Trustees about how they govern the Division?
