Galbraith Elementary School principal, Sandy Scheldrup, announces her retirement

Congratulations and best wishes to Sandy Scheldrup, who has announced she will be retiring at the end of this school year from her role as principal at Galbraith Elementary School.
“This career has been a great journey!” said Scheldrup. “I'll miss the people at Galbraith and within the Division.”
Scheldrup has worked in a variety of Lethbridge schools during her 30 years of teaching. After 18 years of being directly in front of students as a teacher, she completed her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration in 2006, while working as a vice-principal at Winston Churchill High School.
“Since then, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working as vice-principal at Wilson Middle School and now as principal at Galbraith,” said Scheldrup. “With spending a majority of my 30 years on the north side, I so enjoy seeing my former students as parents to the students at Galbraith. Talk about full circle!”
Scheldrup joined the Division as a teacher in 1989, and taught at Nicholas Sheran Elementary School, Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School and Winston Churchill High School.
She has served as principal at Galbraith since 2013, and just recently received her 35-year recognition from the Division.
Congratulations on your retirement!
