Green and Gold Volleyball Tournament kicks off Friday

Lethbridge Collegiate Institute will be bustling with volleyball this weekend.
The 2025 version of the Green and Gold Volleyball Tournament kicks off Friday at 9 a.m., with a full-court showdown that will feature the hometown Clippers and Winston Knoll Collegiate from Regina.
At 10:30 a.m., the Rams will take on Salisbury Composite in the day’s second featured match.
Later in the day at 3:45 p.m., the Clippers will take on Calgary’s Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School in the LCI large gym, while the Rams will play the St. Francis Browns on Court 1 at Catholic Central East.
Playoff games begin at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, with four more playoff matches set for 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, quarterfinal matches go at 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m., while semifinals will be contested at 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The girls championship game is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. in the large gym at LCI. At the same time, the two bronze-medal games will be played in the LCI small gym and at Catholic Central East.
The boys championship match will wrap up the tournament, and will be played at 6 p.m. in the large gym at LCI.
