Chinook creates displays to honour the 215 and their families

Chinook High School's Indigenous Grad Coach, Janine Jackson, helped put together a series of displays to honour the 215 children and their families, and all the children that never made it home from a residential school.
A display of shoes out front highlights the display, as Chinook also hosted a smudge and prayer on Wednesday morning, along with singing an honour song.
"It was such a moving and healing experience," said Jackson. "I want to acknowledge all our staff who have been so supportive in bringing in shoes, and my Wellness team for helping me set the display up." Jay Hansen's Knowledge and Employability class created 215 orange shirts, which are currently also on display at Chinook.
