Division receives PPE shipment from Government of Alberta

On Friday afternoon, Lethbridge School Division received its shipment of personal protective equipment (PPE) from the Government of Alberta.
The supplies arrived at the Division’s Attwell Building, as the Division’s purchasing and maintenance teams work quickly to sort and bundle all the supplies in preparation for delivery.
Supplies are being delivered today to schools throughout the Division.
Schools will get thermometers, disposable masks, one face shield per staff member and reusable masks.
The government provided two reusable masks for students and staff members. Extra masks included in school bundles will also provide substitute and replacement staff with their two masks as they begin their first assignment with the Division.
The Division also received 507, 3.8-litre jugs of hand sanitizer. That hand sanitizer is not being distributed at this time, as the Division has already distributed significant amounts of hand sanitizer to schools. Hand sanitizer from the Government of Alberta will be held for emergent replacement.
The shipment of PPE from the Government of Alberta is supplemental to the purchase of supplies by the Division, which included hand sanitizer, disposable masks, face shields, gloves and thermometres.
