West Coulee hosts youth bells fall start up session for elementary students

Wednesday represented a unique opportunity for students in Lethbridge School Division to work with an experienced international clinician.
Annie Hergott from Calgary was the day's special guest. With many years of experience working with all levels of ringers, Hergott brought a wonderful energy to every session with Division students.
Each two-and-a-half hour session was specifically designed to meet the needs of choirs as they start up for the new season.
The middle school session was held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in the morning, while the elementary session will be held at West Coulee Station Elementary School in the afternoon. That session featured students from West Coulee, along with Coalbanks, Fleetwood-Bawden and Nicholas Sheran.
The session put a focus on technique, rhythm games, team work and making handbells and handchimes fun.
