Southern Alberta students participate in Try a Trade

On Tuesday and Wednesday evening, students from across southern Alberta visited a wide variety of businesses for the Try a Trade event.
It represented a unique opportunity for students interested in careers in the trades to get some first-hand experience in real-world settings with local employers. Students and their parents spent the evening at various sites and learned from skilled tradespeople in a hands-on environment.
Students received a brief orientation and tour of the site and proceeded to learn some new skills related to specific trades, all in a small group setting.
For more information, please see the video below, which features Andrew Krul, Lethbridge School Division's Off-Campus Education Co-ordinator, along with Mitch Fowler of Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services and Kayla Reyes from Bella Elite Beauty Academy.
