Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club Announces Support for STEM Program at Westminster
Today at Westminster Elementary School, the Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club announced its commitment to fostering educational excellence and innovation by supporting the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program.
As part of its ongoing efforts to invest in the community and support educational initiatives, the Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club presented a cheque to the Stephanie Jones, a parent representative of Westminster’s School Council, along with principal Lisa Prawdzik. The financial contribution aims to enhance the STEM program and provide essential resources and opportunities for elementary students to engage in hands-on learning experiences in these critical fields.
The STEM program at Westminster plays a crucial role in preparing young students for future success by sparking their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The support from the Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club will help expand and enhance these educational opportunities and ensure students have access to the tools and resources they need to excel.
"The Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club is dedicated to supporting initiatives that make a positive difference in our community," said Berga Moen, president, Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club.
That sentiment was echoed by Diane Randell, Chair, Community Services for the club.
"We are excited to contribute to the STEM program at Westminster Elementary School and to see the positive impact it will have on the students' educational journeys,” she said.
Prawdzik expressed her gratitude for the Rotary Club's support.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Lethbridge Rotary Sunrise Club for their generous donation," said Prawdzik. "This support will significantly enrich our STEM program and provide our students with valuable learning experiences that will benefit them for years to come."
