LCI student celebrated at Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services survivor reunion

On Friday, Feb. 21, Lethbridge’s Fire and Emergency Services hosted a survivor reunion for Grade 9 Lethbridge Collegiate Institute student Cameron Boehme.
Earlier this year, Boehme collapsed during a basketball practice at the school. Three LCI teachers, Ross Bekkering, Darren Majeran and Tysen Pushor, worked to stabilize Boehme before Lethbridge Fire and Emergency staff arrived at the school.
Boehme is now back at school, thanks to the combined efforts of LCI staff, the players on his basketball team and Lethbridge's first responders.
On March 5, the school also hosted a pep rally to honour first responders, the three LCI teachers and some of Boehme's teammates, who were all given Green 2 Gold awards.
