Green Shirt Day recognized at Probe with special assembly

On Friday morning, Dr. Probe Elementary School had some very special guest for the school's Green Shirt Day assembly.
Bernadine and Toby Boulet were on hand to tell the story of their son, Logan. It was on April 6, 2018, when, as a result of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, 16 people, lost their lives.
Humboldt Broncos defenceman Logan Boulet succumbed to his injuries and his parents offered to donate Logan's organs so that six lives could live on.
They did so because Logan told his parents he was registering as an organ donor, after he was inspired by his coach and mentor, Ric Suggitt, who passed away on June 27, 2017, and was also an organ donor who eventually saved six lives.
Probe principal Chris Harris, along with his mother, also spoke about their family's organ-donation journey.
The assembly also served to promote the Green Shirt Day Family Skate, set for April 7 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Logan Boulet Arena.
