Chinook Night at the Pops opens Monday, Nov. 18

The musical variety show, Chinook Night at the Pops, is a New West Theatre style variety show, filled with movie music and popular music, performed by Chinook Rock and Pop, the Concert Band and Chinook Jazz.
The premise of the show is to have a concert that collaborates and joins a lot of Chinook’s music groups together.
“The show is funny, unique, upbeat and has some very beautiful music,” said Scott Davidson, music teacher at Chinook.
Tickets are for sale on schoolcashonline or at the door, for $8 a ticket. Show times are:
- Monday, Nov. 18 - Student Night/Dress Rehearsal night (Students Night, Free Concert for Students) 7-8:45 p.m. - In the Chinook Media Centre
- Tuesday, Nov. 19 - Day Show 9:30 a.m. (For elementary and middle school students)
- Tuesday, Nov. 19 - Opening Night - 7-8:45 p.m. In the Chinook Media Centre
- Wednesday, Nov. 20 - Day Show - 9 a.m. (For high school and middle school students)
- Wednesday, Nov. 20, Last Concert Night - 7-9:10 p.m. In the Chinook Media Centre.
The opener will be the LCI Jazz Band.
The show includes music from James Bond, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocket Man, Yesterday, Indiana Jones, A Star is Born, Star Wars, the Wizard of Oz and more.

Chinook/LMT production, Newsies, set to open on Friday Division facing $2.9 million shortfall in 2019/2020 budget
