Mike Mountain Horse partners with local bakery for cupcake project

Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School Grade 5 students baked a little extra into their learning this week.
Students just finished wrapped a cupcake project-based learning initiative, with a little help from a local bakery. Within the project, students were tasked with designing an award-winning cupcake, and also wrote a well-developed paragraph to explain how to decorate the prize-winning cupcake. Students wrote a persuasive piece to explain reasons why their cupcake should win the contest. Math was also tied in, as students explored fractions and ratios as it relates to using a recipe. 
Lakeview bakery partnered with Mike Mountain Horse and actually created the cupcake of the winner for each class!
