The Mission: Build the new Garry Station Area School for West Lethbridge on the available plot of land in the provided Minecraft: Education Edition world.

Description: The Garry Station area in West Lethbridge needs a new k-5 school and you (and your team) have been asked to model this new school in Minecraft: Education Edition. The school should be built on the bright green footprint (approximately) within the Minecraft world and should hold around 600 students when completed. The addition of playgrounds and landscaping is optional but can help in the case of a judging tie. Consider the following spaces when designing your school layout: Gymnasium, Food Services Area, Main Office, 12-16 Classrooms, Art Room / Band Room / Theatre, Science Lab(s), Stairwells and Elevators, Washrooms, Staff Room / Learning commons

We love  Details (Air Vents, Windows, Doors, Accessibility, Lighting, Colours, Garbage Cans etc.…)

What is Minecraft Education

Minecraft is an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. Minecraft: Education Edition differs from the regular video game version as it is aimed for use in the classroom and contains features such as classroom mode and assessment tools that enable powerful learning experiences.

We know some teachers and parents are not comfortable using Minecraft for education or need more support, so we have booked a training day on March 30th at 3:45pm MST for 1-hour.  If you would like to learn more or need some support to enter, please sign up for the training using this link  Lethbridge School Division 51 Minecraft: Education Edition Challenge 2022 - Educator PD Registration Page (eventbuilder.com)
