Professional Learning Survey 2020/2021

Part A

Over the past several years, the administrative team has focused to varying extents on the following during admin PL:

  • Generative Dialogue
  • Universal Design for Learning
  • Culturally Responsive Teaching (e.g., foundational Indigenous knowledge, ESL)
  • Concept-based Learning
  • Trauma-informed Practice

As indicated in the diagram below, all of these components create a wholistic education system that supports and empowers learners. The eight forces of thinking that surround the circle can be utilized to scaffold and support the concepts within the circle.

To infuse this model of learning within our schools, the PL Committee would like feedback on your current level of understanding and needs related to the above concepts and cultural forces of thinking.

Generative Dialogue 1) All administrative teams have been placed with a partner school and will meet a minimum of six times/year to engage in generative dialogue.

Keeping in mind the cultural force of time, would it be beneficial for you to utilize some admin. PL time to engage in generative dialogue with your partner school?
