Park Meadows staff reflects on educational practices through FNMI lens

Earlier this week, Park Meadows Elementary School teachers paid a visit to Indian Battle Park.
John Chief Calf, the Division's co-ordinator of First Nations, Metis and Inuit Education, led staff members through a session to help Park Meadows connect with FNMI culture.
"Our staff appreciated the time to reflect on our own educational practices through a FNMI lens," said Park Meadows principal Mark Blankenstyn. "Park Meadows staff also appreciated digging deeper into TQS 5 and finding ways to integrate FNMI culture and awareness into the curriculum. We are very thankful to John Chief Calf for the good work he does within our Division and for teaching us more about FNMI culture through rich and engaging story telling."
