WCHS Griffins fall in bronze-medal game

The Winston Churchill High School Griffins opened the 2019 Alberta Schools Athletic Association Rugby Provincial Championship Friday morning with a match against Notre Dame.

Churchill won the match 27-17, as the Griffins moved on the semifinals later in the day against Fort Macleod's F.P. Walshe. Churchill lost that match 17-0.

That put WCHS in the bronze-medal game on Saturday against Foothills Compsite. The Griffins fell 27-5 in that match.
