Division supports Together Tees food bank fundraiser

March, 2020, is a month those involved in education will never forget.
Schools were officially closed to students as of Monday, March 16, as the learning-at-home process began.
Amidst the trying times of those first few days, Lakeview Elementary School teacher Jennifer Latham had an idea. She partnered with Kayla Wurzer to help produce T-shirts, to not only spread positive messaging throughout Lethbridge School Division staff during the COVD-19 pandemic, but also raise money for the Lethbridge Food Bank.
As of Thursday morning, 70 shirts had been sold. As a result, Latham and Wurzer made a $700 donation to the food bank on Thursday.
“Our original goal was $500, so we were really excited to surpass that,” said Latham. “Now we are thinking we could maybe reach $1,000.”
