Fleetwood Pasta with a Purpose raises funds for Youth Hub in Lethbridge

Earlier this year, Jacqueline McNeill’s Grade 1/2 class at Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School read Malala Yousafzai's lovely picture book, Malala's Magic Pencil, where she uses her magic pencil to draw things to help people.

The Grade 1/2s were inspired by how committed she was to helping people, so they immediately got to work brainstorming things they could do to help the community. The class finally settled on the nutritious and delicious idea of a Pasta with a Purpose school fundraiser, where the class was to serve pasta at nutrition break and donate all proceeds to the Youth Hub here Lethbridge.

All of the pasta was donated by the local company, Let’s Pasta.  The Fleetwood family came together and the day was a huge success! Buon appetito!
