Gilbert Paterson Middle School set to host math help sessions for parents

University of Lethbridge math professor Joy Morris is looking to help local parents better understand the math instruction their children are receiving.

Morris, along with education students from the U of L, is set to host a series of math help sessions for parents, aimed at parents of middle school students in Lethbridge School District No. 51.

Sessions are planned for Thursday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and will take place from Jan. 10 to Feb. 7. Gilbert Paterson Middle School will host the sessions.

The evenings will include game and activities, one-on-one assistance, basic skill training and refreshments.

Sessions are held with support from the Pacific Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Lethbridge School District No. 51 and the U of L.

Gilbert Paterson Middle School is located at 2109-12 Ave. S.
