Chinook to host Alberta Student Leadership Conference May 26-28, 2019

Chinook High School is busy preparing to host the Alberta Student Leadership Conference from May 26-28, 2019.

The conference will feature numerous keynote speakers, classroom sessions, a banquet, a hypnotist show, a dance and much more. The goal for the conference committee is to attract at least 500 students and their advisors (not including Chinook’s own leadership students). The theme of this year’s conference is, Building Bridges.

These conferences are a great opportunity for our leaders of tomorrow to network with other student leaders from across the province, as well as learn leadership skills in both classroom sessions and from our keynote speakers.

Chinook has three keynote speakers confirmed, which include local speakers Julie and Lowell Taylor, Alberta born Chris Koch and international speaker Scott Backovich. One more speaker will be added to this line-up soon.

Organizing a three-day event of this magnitude requires a significant financial commitment. As such, organizers are searching for partners willing to financially partner with Chinook to help provide student leaders with the best possible Alberta Student Leadership Conference.
