Introduction to Ironworking information session set for Nov. 27 at LCI

Later this month, Lethbridge Collegiate Institute is hosting a pair of information sessions for the Introduction to Ironworking program.

The sessions, held in conjunction with Career Transitions, will be held Nov. 27, inside the LCI Large Lecture Theatre, from 4:30-6 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m.

The sessions are for high school students that are interested in the program, and their parents.

The sessions will provide information on this unique 10-week program that can kick start a career in an exciting trade.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

- What an ironworker does

- What skills and training are required to become an ironworker

- What skills and safety tickets are included in the 10-week program

- How many credits students can earn through the program

- How to apply to the program.

The program will run April 22-June 28. The application deadline is Nov. 30.
