One District One Book website launched

One-School One-Book was first launched in Canada, right here in Lethbridge, almost 11 years ago.

It was launched in April of 2007 at Dr. Probe School, and since then many District schools have participated in a One-School One-Book Project or a Multi-School One-book Project. It has been the joy of the staff and students to engage in a reading activity that unites their community around a common theme, common characters, and a common story.

The District is now planning to take the One-School One-Book concept a giant step forward, with the proposal to run a One-District-One Book in February/March of 2019!

As Lethbridge School District No. 51 continues to grow and add new schools, staff and students the wish is the District can use the project as an opportunity to connect all schools, all families, all staff members and most importantly, all students, in a shared reading experience.
