District schools honour Humboldt community with Jersey Day tribute

Schools and staff across Lethbridge School District No. 51 participated in Jersey Day yesterday. It was an initiative first proposed by a group of hockey moms in British Columbia, as a way to honour the Saskatchewan Junior "A" hockey team. Jerseys for Humboldt had Canadians across the country wear jerseys on Thursday in a show of support. From Education Centre and Attwell Building maintenance staff, to elementary, middle and high schools, support was shown throughout the District. Many schools gathered for school-wide photos, while others, such as Dr. Probe Elementary School, which created a memorial ribbon, and Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School, through a memory wall for the Broncos, also supported the initiative.
