Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle School open house set for March 20

Lethbridge School District No. 51’s new westside middle school now has a name.

That is only one step in the process, however, as Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle School prepares for its fall, 2018 opening.

An open house has been set for March 20, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Chinook High School, as members of the Board of Trustees and Fairbairn staff will be in attendance to provide information and to answer questions.

A number of topics will be covered, which will include boundaries for the new school, construction updates, features included in the new building and details surrounding registration dates and plans for transitioning students in the fall.

Parents and community members will also have the opportunity to meet Fairbairn staff members, including members of the administrative team, such as principal Bill Bartlett and vice-principal Terry Hagel.

Architectural drawings of the school will also be available to view, to give attendees an inside look at what the school will look like, upon its completion.

Senator Joyce Fairbairn Middle School is located at 301 Rocky Mountain Blvd West, just southwest of Dr. Probe Elementary School.
