New vice-principal named for Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School
Lethbridge School District No. 51 is pleased to announce David Nussbaumer has been appointed Vice-Principal at Mike Mountain Horse Elementary School.
David’s leadership experience is marked by the ability to develop strong relationships, build a strong sense of community and connect with students. He possesses a sense of energy and passion that permeates school culture.
He believes a leader must be committed to serving the needs of teachers and support staff working directly with students, and the role of instructional leader focuses on support and professional learning.
His commitment to supporting all students and developing an inclusive school community is unwavering.
David strongly promotes engagement in the school, including the provision of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. He believes in parent involvement and community partnerships.
David is currently vice-principal at Galbraith Elementary School. Prior to assuming a leadership role at Galbraith, David was a teacher at Ecole Agnes Davidson School in Lethbridge School District No. 51. Possessing a breadth of experience, David also has previous teaching assignments with Edmonton Public School Board, Saskatoon Public School Board and Prince George School District.
David completed Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Alberta. He earned a Master of Education degree (Multidisciplinary Leadership) from the University of Northern British Columbia.
