New vice-principal named for Park Meadows Elementary School
Jackie Fletcher has been appointed vice-principal at Park Meadows Elementary School.
With Lethbridge School District No. 51 since 2007, Fletcher is a highly-regarded teacher who has modeled exemplary practice in different elementary school contexts. She is known for her amazing ability with classroom management and student engagement, literacy, contributions to the school community in a variety of capacities, energy and spark.
Fletcher started with Lethbridge School District No. 51 as a teacher trained in the Montessori Program at Fleetwood-Bawden, and has been with Park Meadows since 2014 as a Kindergarten teacher. Prior to coming to Lethbridge, she was a classroom elementary teacher and Early Literacy Intervention Teacher with Medicine Hat School District.
“I am so thrilled for the opportunity to become part of the administrative team at Park Meadows School,” said Fletcher. “As a former student of Park Meadows, it is an honour to serve a community that means so much to me, where my roots as a life-long learner began. I look forward to continuing to work with a group of dedicated staff, supportive families, and inspiring children. Helping our students develop into confident and contributing community citizens that feel empowered to make a difference is at the heart of my work, and I am grateful for the opportunity to guide them through this journey.”
Fletcher obtained her Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, and is currently enrolled in her Master of Education in School Administration program.
Park Meadows Elementary School will truly benefit from her expertise, commitment and energy.
